This Privacy Policy describes how PunchIn App ("we", "us") handles information in the PunchIn mobile application (the "App").

Biometric authentication

Biometric authentication — such as fingerprint or face recognition — is processed entirely on your device, using your device's own operating system. We never transmit, store, or have access to your biometric data on our servers.

Device identifier

When you register, the App reads a device identifier to bind your attendance to a specific device. This helps prevent unauthorized punching and ensures the integrity of attendance records.

Wi-Fi network name (optional)

If enabled by your organization, the App may read the connected Wi-Fi network name (SSID) for location/access verification purposes. This is used only to confirm you are on-premises.

On some devices, reading the connected Wi-Fi network name requires the operating system's location permission. We do not access, collect, or store your GPS location or any precise location data — only the connected network's name, and only for the purpose described above.

Data Retention

Device identifiers and attendance records are retained for as long as your account remains active with your employer organization. Data associated with your account is kept only for as long as needed for attendance record-keeping, and is removed when no longer required — for example, when you leave the organization or your account is deactivated by an administrator.

How we use data

All data collected is used solely for attendance tracking within your employer organization. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.

Your Rights

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. Requests will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection law.

Children's Privacy

PunchIn is intended for use by employees of client organizations and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the Effective Date above will be revised. We will notify you of material changes, such as through an in-app or email notice.
